Durban-born Terrence Pearce is known to many as DJ Lapse. His vast musical background, rooted in Funk, Soul and Hip-Hop has led him down the path which now sees him playing his blend of high-energy Indie, Disco, House and Electro to thronging masses around the country. Not a week goes by when Lapse isn’t playing somewhere, and for good reason: versatility is his forté. His clinical technique behind the decks has seen Lapse rise through the ranks of dime-a-dozen Electro DJs to hold court as one of the best. Playing many of the most highly sought after gigs in the country including the annual Rocking The Daisies Outdoor Festivals and New Year’s Rezonance Events, Lapse is a common fixture at any peak-time DJ roster.

As one half of the electronic duo Popskarr with vocalist IAMWAVES, Lapse is allowed to explore his more versatile "hands on" production ideals – perfectly marrying electro-influenced bass lines with Balearic, spacey synths.

Lapse has climbed as high as number 6 on Hype Machine’s top 100 tracks on three separate occasions, and has had remixes played on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6 and various other stations around the globe. He has also appeared three times on International Music Blog’s Top 20 singles of the year, and has had his remixes supported by the likes of A-Trak.
